Hydrodynamic signatures in thermal transport in devices based on two-dimensional materials: An ab initio study

چکیده
We investigate the features arising from hydrodynamic effects in graphene and phosphorene devices with finite heat sources, using ab initio calculations to go beyond Callaway's model inform a full linearized scattering operator, solving phonon Boltzmann transport equation through energy-based deviational Monte Carlo methods. explain mechanisms that create those features, showing boundary relation of sample dimensions nonlocal length $\ensuremath{\ell}$ are determinant factors, regardless relative importance normal versus resistive scattering. From this point view, reflects ability randomize flux, we show approximations made on operator may have, value $\ensuremath{\ell}$, qualitative consequences signatures behavior.

Characterization of Thermal Transport in One-dimensional Solid Materials
The TET (transient electro-thermal) technique is an effective approach developed to measure the thermal diffusivity of solid materials, including conductive, semi-conductive or nonconductive one-dimensional structures. This technique broadens the measurement scope of materials (conductive and nonconductive) and improves the accuracy and stability. If the sample (especially biomaterials, such as...

Introduction: An accurate impression is essential to create a well-fitted dental prosthesis. This study aimed to compare the dimensional accuracy of three elastomeric materials using one-step and two-step impression techniques. Methods: In this study, 20 impressions were fabricated for each Vinyl siloxane ether (Identium), condensation silicone (Speedex), and a...

متن کاملThermal transport in nanocrystalline materials
In this work, thermal transport in nanocrystalline materials is studied using large-scale equilibrium molecular dynamics simulation. Nanocrystalline materials with different grain sizes are studied to explore how and to what extent the size of nanograins affects the thermal conductivity and specific heat. Substantial thermal conductivity reduction is observed and the reduction is stronger for n...
